Burnt Cedar Tealight Holder

This rustic wood candle holder is perfect for the dinner table or to add to your rustic modern decor. The solid wooden block measures 11.75 x 3 x 3 inch (30x8x8 cm). There are five candles.

To make the tea light holder we used a technique called shou sugi ban. This is an old Japanese technique where the wood is burned heavily until it is black charred. After cooling down, the wood is cleaned until the soft wood is back to its natural color and the wood grain remains burnt.
This will leave a beautiful rich structured pattern, the pictures really do not show the real beauty.

We apply a stain and finish the holder with a protective layer. The color options are shown in the last picture.
The candle holder from this picture is left natural.
